We accept cash, email transfer, visa and mastercard. If you would like to pay by cash upon pickup, please send use an email.

Shipping

Due to heat sensitivity, we only ship our tallow products from October to April. At this time, shipping is available within Canada only. Flat rate shipping is offered through our couriers for boxes up to 5 lbs; however, rural addresses and PO boxes are excluded from flat rate shipping.

We offer both melt & pour soap bars and natural artisan bars - each with their own unique qualities.

Our melt & pour soaps are created using a pre-crafted base, allowing us to design fun, colourful bars in a wide variety of scents and shapes. This method fits well with our busy schedule, as there is no curing time required, meaning we can keep products readily available. These bars are a great option if you’re looking for something visually appealing, budget-friendly, and gentle on the skin.

Our natural artisan bars are made using more traditional methods with carefully selected ingredients like plant-based oils and butters. Due to the time and process involved, these bars require a curing period and are crafted for us by another Canadian soap maker. They offer a more natural look and feel, and typically come with a slightly higher price point.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference - whether you’re drawn to creative designs or a more natural, minimal approach, we have something for everyone.

At SmallTown Soapery Co., we carefully select high-quality essential oils and fragrance oils for use in our products. We prioritize premium ingredients from trusted suppliers to ensure beautiful scents and a great experience for our customers.

All of our fragrance oils and essential oils are paraben free and phthalate free. We are committed to using ingredients that align with our standards for quality, safety, and performance in handcrafted bath and body products.

Our soap bars are safe to use on both the face & body. Simply wet your bar with warm water and lather up for a few seconds. Then apply the lather wherever you need to. We always suggest a swatch test to avoid any possible reactions to the ingredients that we use.

Our soap bars have a shelf life of 8-12+ months in original packaging. To prolong shelf life once open, store your soap bars in a cool, dry place with adequate drainage.

To keep your tallow in its best condition, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid introducing water into the container, as this can shorten its shelf life and affect its texture—always use clean, dry hands or a small scoop when applying. Properly cared for, your tallow will stay fresh for up to one year. When using, scoop out a small amount, warm it between your hands, and then massage into skin as needed. A little goes a long way!

For hygienic reasons, we do not accept returns. Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

If you need to cancel your order for any reason, please reach out to us immediately. We can only cancel orders before they have been shipped out. Processing fees will be deducted from the refund amount.
